What can a cleaning operative see in the Xota mobile app?

Operatives see their own shifts, the checklist for each booking, their leave balance and their message threads with the office. They cannot see other clients’ pricing, other team members’ pay, or admin-only records such as invoices and margins.

How does clocking in on site work?

An operative opens the app at the start of a shift and taps Clock in. The app records the time and, where available, the GPS location against the booking, so the office can see exactly when and where a shift started, and the same happens on clock out.

How does photo proof and sign-off work on mobile?

Operatives upload before-and-after photos from their phone as they complete a booking. Once the work is done, an admin reviews the photos and signs the booking off, moving it from Active to Signed Off with a full audit trail.

Can operatives request holiday from their phone?

Yes. Operatives request holiday directly in the app and can see their remaining leave balance before they ask. Admins approve or reject each request from their own phone, so there is no separate holiday form or spreadsheet.

Can operatives message the office from the app?

Yes. The mobile app includes built-in messaging with read receipts and file attachments, so an operative can flag an issue or ask a question on site and the office can reply from desktop or their own phone, with the whole conversation kept against the record.
